General Overseer of the Bible Believers Ministry, Bishop Michael Osagie has said it is a sin for church members to bring their phones and other appliances to the church for charging.
Bishop Osagie said this during an interview with News Agency of Nigeria, (NAN).
The Bishop reportedly condemned the acts of charging phones and torchlights, most especially in situations where members fight over sockets thereby disrupting the service.
“Sometimes when I preach on the altar, I get distracted, because I see some of my members fighting over charging points.
“I am amazed how believers of the gospel take the things of the Lord these days,” he said.
He, therefore, pleaded with power Distributor Company to find ways to improve power situations.
An usher of the church who reacted to the message of the cleric, Ruth Ikoko said she was guilty as she use to bring her phone to church to charge.
Ruth blamed this on poor power supply in her area, saying she will hope power situation will improve she will not need to bring her phone to church for charging.
