‘for better for worse, for richer for poorer…till death do us part…’ this is a part of the marriage vow we often hear in our churches but Presiding Bishop of Living faith Churcur, popularly called Winners Chapel, Bishop David Oyedepo has criticized the popular vow.
According to Bishop David Oyedepo, such vows are unscriptural and a curse.
in his own words,
“All that “for better for worse, in sickness and in health”, that people recite as marriage vows are unscriptural! It is a curse!” he said.
Bishop Oyedepo’s assertion which was captured by Church Gist, a popular page on Facebook has received a mixed reaction from the people. See some of these reactions below:

It should be recalled that popular and controversial OAP, Daddy Freeze had earlier made the same controversial comment.
But the question is, what is the origin of this marriage vow? Can it be found in the Bible? Drop your opinion in the comment box.
