Daystar Christian Center, a church founded by Pastor Sam and Pastor Nike Adeyemi is 23 years today.
The Senior Pastor of the church, Pastor Sam Adeyemi had earlier refreshed the members of the church on the vision and mission of Daystar Christian centre.
In The message Pastor Sam Adeyemi preached on the first Sunday of the November, he said the church was established with a mission to raise role models for Christ in all spheres of life.
Speaking further, Pastor Sam as he is fondly called emphasized the need for believers to develop a Christ-like character as this is what will enable them to influence their environment and bring about positive changes.
The 23rd anniversary celebration continues today as another Pastor of the church preached on the topic ‘Celebrating unusual grace’.
He said Daystar is where it is today because of God’s grace and nothing more, he, therefore, encouraged everyone to trust in the Lord with all their heart.
The Healing Spring Choir later took the stage to lead the congregation in praises to the almighty to appreciate Him for sustaining the ministry.
A little bit about Daystar Christian Centre. Although Pastor Sam had heard the call of God into ministry as he was a Pastor at The Rhema Chapel, Ilorin, the church was established in 1995 after the Lord spoke to the Pastor, giving him instructions on how the ministry will be birthed.
According to Pastor Sam Adeyemi, The Lord had spoken to him in July 1994 to teach biblical principle on success. After this, he began speaking on the radio. Speaking further, he said he got the vision for Success Power International and Daystar Christian Center the same day.
Daystar Christian Center was officially inaugurated on the 18th of November, 1995. The inauguration was held at Eko Chinese Restaurant at 76, Allen Avenue.
The church then had to relocate as a result of challenges before ending up at its present site.
Presently, the church has spread its tentacle as there are branches in Lekki, Ikorodu and Badagry.
