We Will Not Wed Couples Who Are Yet To Perform Traditional Marriage Rites – Anglican Bishop

An Anglican Bishop in Anambra state has abolished church wedding for couples who are yet to perform traditional marriage rites

The Anglican bishop of Aguata Diocese of Anambra State, Rt Reverend Samuel Ezeofor has announced the church will no longer join couples who are yet to perform their traditional marriage rites.

The Bishop made this known during a thanksgiving service held at the Cathedral Church of Saint John Ekwulobia to mark the first session of the fifth synod of Aguata Diocese.

He urged intending couples who wished to be joined at the church to first observe the traditional marriage rites before coming to the church.

Bishop Ezeofor also enjoined Christians to take part in the nation’s electoral processes while urging eligible voters to obtain their PVC in order to be able to take part in the 2019 elections.
