Winners Chapel Members Donates To The Poor As Fast Ends

Members of the Living Faith Church Worldwide also known as Winners Chapel on Sunday, January 27 ended their annual fasting and prayer on a thanksgiving note using the opportunity to extend a hand of love to the less privileged.

Many of the members who were ostensibly acting on Bishop David Oyedepo’s message on the need to reach out to the poor, donated gift items ranging from clothing, foodstuff and cash for internally displaced persons across 87 IDP camps in the country.

Bishop Oyedepo had on Sunday, January 20, enjoined members of the church to give generously to the poor at the close of the waiting period.

Taking his text from Psalms 41 verses 1-3, he stressed the need for Christians to give to those around them especially those at various IDP camps across the country. He told the congregation, “They are not there by their making but forced out of their ancestral homes. Giving is an avenue for open doors.”

Members of the church brought sundry gifts and money which were dropped at the designated collation centres around the church. The humanitarian gifts are expected to be shared across 87 IDP camps in 10 states in the country this week.

Bishop Oyedepo expressed appreciation to the members for their generosity and prayed that the Lord would multiply them greatly.
